A vehicle spotted in Pittsburgh with Uber Advanced Technologies Center emblazoned on its side has been denied by Uber as being a self-driving car. The vehicle is part of Uber's early research efforts regarding mapping, safety and autonomy systems. Self-driving cars are still several years away from being available to the general public, with advances in technology and changes in regulations still required for the vehicles to become a reality.
